A great Cigar weekend...
Finally getting time to post...
Thursday, went with my wife to the store, then we stopped at Loco's, a local pub/restaurant/bar for a couple beers and some food. Pulled out a Lot23 maduro that I'd had around for a few years, I love this cigar, and smoking this one after dinner just reinforced it. Medium bodied, nice flavor, and plenty of rich flavorful smoke. I just sat there, talking with my wife, enjoying a couple of beers, and suddenly i was burning my fingers. What a great cigar. Saturday night I worked a very rare night shift on my part time job at Best Buy. I sort of miss doing that now and again, because I went with one of the other guys back to Loco's bar and smoked a great cheap cigar (that I don't think is made anymore) - a Sol Cubano Sumatra robusto. gave one to Aaron (my co-worker) and over a pitcher of beer and some tasty lemon-pepper wings, nubbed another one. Then Sunday. Superbowl was "eminent"... at 4:30 when I walked in, the superbowl preshows were all over the TV, and the regulars and seasonal football watchers were all over the place I managed to find a place up at the bar, and fired up an old Gurkha toro. Aged at least 4 years, the cigar was smooth and silky, rolling with nice toasty notes as I smoked it. Even got a couple of complements from the patrons from the mild room smoke. Nubbed that one too. A cigar is an amazing thing. You can enjoy them with company, or in lone contemplation, and it's a experience just the same. Thanks for letting me share.
