So I picked up a new Hygrometer from Heartfelt along with the Boveda Calibration Kit. It says 75.5% RH gauranteed accurate on the kit. Both my digital Credo and the new Hygro from Heartfelt read 70% in the pouch after 3 days. Are both of these Hygros wrong or is the kit actually 70%, which would make more sense to me. Isn't the "salt test" 70%?????????

OK, so then the 2 Hygrometers are off by 5% each! Anyone make an accurate hygrometer that doesn't cost an arm/leg?

Just use the two digitals you have now, knowing that they are of by 5 points. So if they read 60, you know it's actually 65.

Some digital hygrometers come with adjustment knobs you can turn so it will read properly. Xikar just came out with one.

I feel your pain. Mine reads 4% below the reality.

That's not the point, I shouldn't have to note which hygro is off by how much. They should be a lot more accurate.

That's what everyone else does. If it's too hard for you remember that both of your hygrometers are off by 5 points, then there's these new things called "post-it notes" that you may want to look into. They work wonders.

HERE'S an adjustable digital hygrometer for $20, Andy. I use these, though I never had to adjust mine by more than a couple of clicks (+/- 2% RH).

I was just joking with you. Unfortunately, most hygrometers, even digital ones, are off a point or two. There are some that are adjustable. That may be the way to go.
