Where the @#$#@ do you get this stuff around here. Been to Rite-Aid, Walgreens, Mom and Pop store. No one has it. One pharmicist replied, "Propylene Glycol? We would never carry that here, its much too flamible, what do you want to do with it." He looked at me as though I was trying to make a bomb! Any help would be appreciated.

tommy, I was going to give you the name of the place (Chem-Lab Supplies) where I buy mine here in Placentia, but I think they went out of business... Regardless, you should have better luck at a chemical supply store rather than a pharmacy.
And that pharmacist was incorrect, PG is not that flammable. I'm sure he stocks liquids that are much more flammable. Fight on! -Kevin "Worst Episode Ever"

Tri Ess Science 1020 Chestnut Street Burbank, CA 91506-1623 818.848.7838 email: science@tri-esssciences.com Monday through Friday 8:30 to 5:00 Saturday 9:00 to 1:00 8 ounces for about $7 or $8. They sell scientific supplies to schools. Special effects to the movie industry. If you go on Saturday, best to get there before 11:00AM to avoid crowds. FYI, I switched to Climmax beads. Don't have to worry about adding water. Dumping out solution and wondering how much PG is left in there, etc. Edited by - love_this on 06/07/2002 5:16:33 PM |

The people at CVS looked at me like I was insane. The lady at Wegmans wanted to know what it was for, then told me it was discontinued, but might still be out there. No section given.
What else is PG used for? Which sections should I check? Just ordered the climmax beads, hope I don't have to look for PG anymore. |

Matter of fact, I just asked about the stuff a local pharmacy. The guy said it's pretty regulated, it's a carbon based chemical or something. He said to try at hobby shops.

LD- Here in NJ they are an "upscale" huge super-duper market. Great selection and quality, a bit pricier than shoprite.
