Thursday Night Smokes

As indicated last week, I have designated Thursday as my Pipe smoking day. I'm going to use this thread to keep track of my adventure. Feel free to comment, make suggestions, or share your own "Thursday Night" story.

Tonight's smoke - Savinelli Trevi Rusticated 320 KS with C & D Crowley's Best.

C & D Crowley's Best was okay. Far too mild for me. Didn't have much flavor. But, to be honest, it seemed a little dry. Which is weird because the other tobacco in that mason jar seems fine.

The Savinelli Trevi Rusticated 320 KS smoked great. I really like the feel of that pipe in my hand. I used the filter. Not sure if it matters, but I like to keep the moisture down. This is only the second or third time I've smoked this pipe since I got it last January.

I would call Crowley's Best almost medium in flavor and body. I have smoked tobacco that had dried out and was flavorless.

What's the best way to revive pipe tobacco that may be a little too dry?

Tonight I had Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Burley and Rum Casing with my Cassano Canadian Smooth Pipe. The tobacco smoked well, but didn't seem to have much flavor. Unfortunately, this tobacco my be a little dried out as well.

I broke my rule. I'm smoking a cigar tonight - Oliva MB3 Churchill. My schedule got messed up tonight and I just didn't feel like messing with a pipe. But I still plan on sticking with my new Thursday schedule in the future.

Crowley's is very good though I prefer Morley's Best. Let us know what you think.
