This was mentioned in one of the early posts, but I think if its just one shelf thats the problem, you can probably carefully sand off a layer of the wood. That should get rid of the spores. I'd try that just to see if you can save the humidor, get it seasoned, leave the sticks out and wait to see if more mold develops. Worth a try, I'd think.

Not sure I want to put the tray back in, which is why I want to find a new one. I may lightly sand the inside of the humidor though. Mold is a pain to get rid of in houses so it's probably the same with a humidor.
