I Need Advice On A Humidor
I have a buddy who wants a furniture type humidor for his home.
He saw the latest Cigar Intl. catalog and was looking at the Indulgence Table Humidor. I was hoping that someone out there may have bought one of these due to their low price, and was wondering what you though of it. It seems awfully inexpensive but if its even halfway decent it would be perfect for him. Thanks for any advice. -Steve

You are right to want to find out from someone that may have bought one. That's the only way. My gut reaction is that it may look great, but not seal great or be uneven in humidiity. A leaky humidor is a real drag, requiring constant attention. Sometimes cheap (and not so cheap) humidors also warp. As you said, the price seems too good to be true...then again it might certainly be halfway decent if that's all he's looking for. On the other side of the coin, a cooler with a pound of beads is a lot cheaper and works perfectly, but it certainly ain't pretty.

There are so many good furniture type humis out there. It just isn't worth the money to take a chance. I have an Antietam that I absolutely think is great. It's full and I'm going to need another one if I'm going to continue to buy. I would really like a BIG humi. I don't like coolers.

If you want a review I suggest you check out the Aristocrat vs. Avallo sticky to get a more informed opinion of what you want to one day own.
