Cigar Rescue

From the Roadhawg: Lots of good posts re: storage of "fresh-at-the-start" smokes. However, I have found a previously "lost" box of cigars, never opened. The box was wrapped in cellophane, cigars were not wrapped. I opened it and found the sticks very hard (surprise!), as the box had been in a spare bedroom for almost a year. Questions: 1) Is there any use in trying to rescue these by somehow restoring moisture? 2) If so, what is the recommended proceedure? 3) Am I better off just trashing them and paying more attention to my inventory from this point forward? Thanks in advance for the input. Regards --RH
