Temp
Ok, my temp is at 75.
Im trying to keep my humidity at 69. So far it is good on humidity (it starts to rise but i just open her up to let some out). But that temp is holding high. It not in direct sunlight, it is on my dresser in the open. The house is usely at 74, and i have a fan in the room to keep it cooler. So any ideas? I'm thinking of freezing a rag or small towel and putting it on it but if ot did work it may only be a temporary fix. Sent from my SM-G935U using Tapatalk |

I'm not sure you can do much about the temp. I'd try and work the humi down to 65% with some help of beads or something. Think there is such a thing as "relative"humidity which means lower the humi when you can't lower the temp?

I know it may sound silly, but I've taken some of the loose leaf tobacco that wraps some cigars or that I've gotten loose in some boxes and thrown the leafs in my humi. I use the "touch" method on those leafs to see if they feel ok. Not a clue what my humi is, but based on touch, it doesn't seem to dry or too wet in there.

That’s not a window behind your dresser is it? Try not placing it along an exterior wall. I think I would be more concerned about the humidity then temperature but that’s just me . As long as you like how the cigars are burning, there are no beetles, or mold your good to go.

Phil's aristocrat is in a stabile temp environment. In the summer, he uses a couple of quart bottles frozen solid with ice and alternates them for cooling.
I have 2 coolerdors in my office that are stabile in temp and humidity. I use kitty litter crystals and distilled water for humidity. I have my ac set to76 degrees and that's enough to keep temps regular. Don't know if it helps any.

75 degrees is not a problem IMHO, pretty much where mine is at.

Beetles don't hatch until the temp crosses 80 degrees.
