Call for pricing! Call for Availability!

Ya know what? These phrases on a web site PISS ME OFF!

I can see once in a while, you run low on something, something happens and you put a tag upo like this. I can understand this sort of thing, some times shit just happens, right?

What really gets my panties in a knot is when every day, every time the web sites have these tags on certain cigars. Usually the more 'popular' cigars.

Why even list them if you can't give a solid price and keep them continuously in stock? I don't feel I should have to be calling every few days to see if you have soemthing and how much it costs when you have them clearly listed AND promoted throughout your site.

Sorry. Needed to vent.

Yeah, the whole reason I shop online is to not have to talk to anyone in the first place.

Cigar smokers aren't supposed to be anti-social.

No doubt. It's just like looking at car ads. No price, no sale.

The reason some places say "Call for Availability" is that some cigar companies want you to keep to a price level, and go no lower...

So, some retailers will say "call for price" so they can give you this price that would normally draw some heat from the vendors they deal with.

Most other internet vendors who deal with policies like this just make you add the item to your cart for you to find out how much it costs.

Thanks, Mike. It helps to hear from someone in the business as to why this is done. I'd have to agree, though; it is irritating.

I find these "tags" most often on Fuente and Torano products.
