CI/CBid Issue: RP Vintage original versus "Euro" b
Just a caveat emptor / public service announcement here:
1. Last week I won the following CBid auctions for RP 1992 Vintage cigars: http://www.cigarbid.com/auction/lot.cfm?lotID=317883 http://www.cigarbid.com/auction/lot.cfm?lotID=317650 2. After winning the auctions I received the CI catalog in the mail and saw the page detailing CI's exclusive deal on the new RP Vintage "Euro blend". Details on the Euro blend can be found here: http://www.cigarsinternational.com/p...y+patel&page=3 3. I also noticed in the catalog ad that the band artwork for the Euro was slightly different than that of original blend. The Euros show the RP initials surrounded by a circle of disks whereas the original blend uses only scripted RP initals. 4. Based on the band design of the sticks that I received, it would appear that I got the Euro blends. 5. As you can see in the CBid links above, none of the auctions specified whether the cigars were for the "Euro" blend or the original blend. Additionally, the photos for the CBid auctions clearly show sticks sporting the original blend bands. 6. At the time of the auction, having no prior knowledge of the other blend, my assumption was that I was bidding on the original blend. My question to you all: if this happened to you what would your reaction be?
