Well it's official, Miami Huricanes and the Virginia Tech Hokies have jumped the Big East and joined the ACC. Just like the Steve Miller song,they "Took the Money and run". Does this make the ACC a "Super Conf"? YES but they will have to split the schools into 2 divisions and school rivalries will take major hits.
Now who does the Big East go after to fill the 2 vacancies. Obviuosly since BC and Syracuse were whored by the ACC they will will be the leaders in trying to persuade MAJOR schools to join the Big East. The only Major Football Indy school is Notre Dame and with their contract with NBC don't look for the Irish to join. I said before on another related post that the Big East will look to Conference USA maybe at the SEC(but i think the only team who would want to leave would be Kentucky and only if Louisville would leave C-USA). My front runners to join the Big East Louisville and Memphis.
