Now there's a hard question.

Both.

Jones was, I think, a better singer. But he wasn't as adventurous as Cash. I think we've seen the last CD from Cash. Too bad.

my stash

Old Johnny was a real story teller, the Clint Eastwood of country music. He was the outlaw everybody loved. Old George , smuggler blues kinda guy , with that slick hairstyle you could land a F15 on . My stash is on Cash.

Johnny - Blistered

George - The King Is Gone And So Are You

George a better vocalist, Johnny Cash a FAR better wriiter.

I go with Johnny Cash with a doubt all the way back to his Sun Records days.
George has one of (The ?) best country voices but Johnny Cash is more of the complete package.

Long Black Veil (not a Cash written tun) but JC does a great job it. Oh man where do you start Tennessee Stud, Folsom Prison, Ring Of Fire....on and on.

I can;t even name a George Jones tune except that syrupy Stopped Loving Her Today....YUK but GJ is got the vocal chops for sure.
