I had the same problem, I live in Arizona where there is no moisture and I could not get my humidity above 60 ask many of times got the same answer ( check your meter ) well what I did was put a shot glass of distilled water in the corner and in about a week the humidity was up to the high 60s now it is stable at 70% and your cigars will be fine in a while you just need allot of time and distilled water
