It's all so fecking stupid. They are the least at-risk demographic, in good shape with top-notch medical care, at least at the P-5 skoos. The G-5, and lower divisions are downright screwed.
This could, possibly, destroy college football altogether. If you rupture the connection that sports-supporting alumni and fans have with their schools...with those alumni and fans being mostly conservative-thinking, and not being fans of what the universities have become, what and how they teach, universities put themselves in danger of financial ruin. Those fans will not give to the universities other than for football. At least that's the gist of an article I read earlier today.
