Travel Humidor

Anyone have any recomendations for a good travel humidor that does not cost an arm and a leg? I plan on getting one down the road.

I have a Sherman that carries 18 cigars. It has been an excellent unit and withstood the rigors of my travel schedule. It's definetly worth the money.

I second the Sherman. Well worth the price. Leave room for extras, just like your storage..

I like the Sherman and similarly marketed traveldors, but I thought the box shape could be too cumbersome. I attended a herf where one of the guys brought a briefcase style traveldor. I really liked the style and shape. I bought an Elite Travel Humidor. I have had a lot of compliments regarding it's looks. And it is tough too.

The supplied URL is not intended as an advertisement for Famous Smoke. I supplied the link so you could see what it looks like. Although Famous does occasionally reduce the price.

When you decide what you want, I suggest you shop arround for the best price regardless of what style traveldor you choose. Let us know and we can help you.

I really enjoy my cigar caddy. I don't have to worry about my cigars getting damaged, plus it's got the built in credo......but I still tote some around in a tuppador, and it works just fine.

What spiridon said. I have a Cigar Caddy 5400, which is nice. Lots of space, great protection, built-in credo. Good herfador, and backup emergency overflow humi, for those times when ODO rears its ugly head.

The best you can get is the Zero Halliburton. This space age looking aluminum cases are top of the line. At $500 they should be though. The Sherman and the Road Warrior are both outstanding and plenty tough. They are thick molded rubber cases that can really protect your smokes. An 18 stick holder will run around $80. There are other cases that are serviceable (CigarCaddy, Otterbox, etc) but keep an eye on their prices as they are not the same quality as a Sherman or Road Warrior.

And, yes, there is nothing wrong with using tupperware, old cigar boxes, coffee cans, etc.

Here is another link

One suggestion: If you have to ever leave your traveler in a vehicle during the hot months; invest in a soft side cooler (that it can fit in) and blue-ice brick.
