JAKE/WYATT LITHIUM CORONA

This cigar has a mostly smooth Dominican Habano wrapper. The binder and filler are Dominican. The cap is finished with a nice pigtail. The cold draw is perfect with light earthy notes.

Initial flavors are mostly good medium bodied tobacco with a slight bitter note. The mottled grey ash looks solid and the burn starts off even.

In the first third the bitter notes transition into a light spiciness. The ash dropped off early but became more solid. The burn remains even.

During the second third some cedar notes join the flavor profile. The smoke remains medium bodied and the retohale is smooth with light pepper notes. The ash, while looking fairly solid, is a bit fragile and falls off when I set the cigar on the ashtray. The burn remains even.

Approaching the final inch the flavor profile remains steady. The finish is a touch heavy. The ash remains the same and the burn remains even.

Overall a very good experience with very good complexity and good construction. 9.3/10, Joe Bob says check it out.

Strange, naming a cigar brand after a medicine for treating bipolar disorder.

My understanding is the brand was created by Mardocigars.com, their house brand per se. They have several series under the Jake Wyatt brand, Lithium being one. I had high hopes for the brand since all lines offer Corona size and Lancero size. Quality is good no doubt, but I found that the flavors were somewhat bland and straightforward in the various ones I smoked. Jeff's rating is generous IMHO

Fair enough, Andy. It just struck me as odd to name a cigar after a drug that dulls both ends. However, it's also an element high on the periodic table.

I guess GTO's Painkiller is just as bad. Really, really good cigar.

Makes me wonder if a "Quualude" is going to be next. And I am only kidding. Hard.

It's all in jest. Can't imagine a cigar labeled as Wellburtrin or Prozac.

That's how it hit me the day I smoked it.
