Cut figurados diagonally. Especially cigars with tapered heads. Kendall taught me that at Floridays and it's served me well over the years.

Hell, this is the first I've heard about laying the cutter flat on a surface...gonna have to try that tonight.

Works extremely well for not accidentally cutting too much of the cap.

I do it with all my smokes since I learned about it

What effect does cutting diagonally on the tapered head cigars have?

Just cut a torpedo diagonally to try this out.

Hope your right and it increases smoke volume as i like lots of smoke volume in my cigars.

Will let you know the results of this test cigar
