Prairie Rock Brewing Company in Elgin is ok with smoking cigars on the patio last I checked. Very good microbrew and pub food. May want to check into it. However...

Just noticed the day is the 29th, I actually have plans for a herf at Maywood Park Race Track in Melrose Park. It's open to the public at $25 per including 2 drinks, dinner, and a Patel.

No clue about the food or amenities as I have only been there as a vendor, but seems like a nice enough place and you can bet on the ponies.

Wow, that looks like fun and its about an hour from downers grove...would add an hour to get home, but fun no less...

Am sure will have my hands full researching some of these suggestions...will also ask Rocco as he is a local...

Spoke with Jim...we were thinking Thursday evening either in Schaumburg or Skokie (Cigar King). Open to either...I hope I have my car back from the dealer by then...bringing it in Wednesday morning to get an oil leak checked

Well this sucks...just got off the phone with Jim...I'm sick as a dog since yesterday morning AND my car is at the dealer for service...won't get it back until tomorrow evening or Fridat sometime.

This really sucks!

So, since I'm too lazy to go back and read 3 pages worth, what are the plans in a nutshell?

My vacation got cancelled, so I need to unwind locally, I guess.

Go to the first couple of posts and get Jim's number and call him..for all I know, plans were still up in the air on where to meet Thursday evening..somewhere in Schaumburg...can't believe I have to miss this
