Smokeless Cigar Ashtray

I smoked a cigar in the garage for the first time last night. I keep the door to the housr closed, but this morning when we got up the whole house smelled like smoke. I think I will need to get an air purifier. In addition I was looking at one of those smokeless ashtrays like this one:

I've seen them on ebay for less than $10. Anyone ever tried one? Does it affect how the cigar burns?
