2007 La Aurora 1495 No.4

2007 La Aurora 1495 No.4

Specifications:
Year of Manufacture/Box Codes: 2007

Country of Origin: Dominican Republic

Wrapper Color: Colorado Maduro

Wrapper type: Ecuadorian

Filler: Dominican, Nicaraguan, Peruvian

Binder: Dominican

Vitola: Corona (5.25x43)

Manufacturer/Distributor: Miami Cigar & Co.

Factory: La Aurora S.A., Dominican Republic

Humidimeter Reading: 63%

Environment:
intermittent rain/snow

Temperature: 32 degrees

Humidity: 94%

Wind: N/A (11.4mph)

Setting: In my usual, personal spot in the smoke shack with my brand new cushion from my sister, and view of the snow covered mountains.

Paired with: Iced Coffee

Could only find 2 reviews of the Robusto vitola of this, and neither was from anywhere well known, so no idea how good their reputation is, so opted to not include one.

Very smooth wrapper with one thin vein running most of the length, completely invisible seams and a medium smooth, uneven short/medium cap.
A hard bunch and slightly tight cold draw with no taste.

Overall an attractive appearance.

Very slightly uneven burn the first half that self-corrected in the second, flat coal, mottled grey, strong ash, and perfect draw. Had one nickle sized piece of wrapper crack off, but no other issues.

Excellent smoke volume and fragrant, floral aroma

Generous richness, mild strength, perfect balance and generous flavors of wood and floral tastes, and a smooth, generous body. Finish/aftertaste was generous wood and floral flavors and with a very light burn on the tongue.

Overall of great character and a generally great cigar, with a final score of 94 out of 100. Very close in score to the No.3 from a while back.

Unfortunately, this leaves only 1 cigar left to review from Bruce's aka @Ljutic generous lot.

Have been saving next weeks, final cigar, specifically to be the very last in this entire 22 or so week journey.

I friggin' love cigars
