I'm trying to maintain my humidors at a lower RH(60-65%) to keep ISOMs the way I like them, but am having trouble. Does mixing different % of PG/H2O help? I've tried adding less water at longer intervals, but it always seems to go to 70% and stay there. Which would be fine if I could still enjoy Hondurans and Dominicans, but you know the story.... Thanks.

Get a digital meter maybe that's the problem.

Got the digital, and its reading 70%, and the cigars feel and smoke 70%. The humidifier is a Credo 70. How do you guys keep 'em at 65 or below, without drying out too much?

I use an Oasis, because it is adjustable. Adding more or less PG to control humidity is a myth. PG absorbs water above 70% and releases it below 70%. It doesn't matter how much of it there is. You aren't going to alter the chemical properties with quantity.

The thing you can do if you don't have something adjustable is use a drybox or leave them out for a while.

Mike is Right.. PG only helps keep your humidity down to 70% by letting the unit absorb humidity back into it.
I like the set and forget units myself!
