Playing in this city (B'ham) sucks also. That was a gig at a college campus 'coffee house'
We have played (duo) for a lot less money and we have played for more. It's not very lucrative, but you can't be in it for the money or else you'll stay depressed. I always make sure the 'perks' are good like drinking and eating. I have an excellent relationship with the bar owners/managers and we almost always get repeat gigs. We stopped for a couple years just now really getting back good so we got to take what we can get
