my Palio, which I love by the way, was not working well...it seemed to have dulled, and when I tried to cut a cigar it was mashing it and busting up the heads of my cigars when clipping...well I emailed mhotek and asked him about it and he recommended his dishwasher routine...putting it open in the dishwasher and then opening it and closing it 15 or so times after the cycle had run...well it worked great!!...he said it had accumulated gum from the caps and this would clean it off...he was right, and I'm again a happy man!!...thanks mike!!
