MmmmmMMMM! Martinis! (and I need some cocktail suggests too!)

Damn, ever since I've developed my tongue for spirits, I'm really starting to enjoy those classic cocktails.

And I finally see the appeal in the classic dry martini. Been making mine lately with about 1-2/3 oz. Bombay Sapphire gin and 1/3 oz. vermouth stirred and garnished with a big, fat bleu cheese-stuffed olive (I love those olives! )

I, unlikely some out there, am not afraid of vermouth. If you want to drink gin with an olive in it, then drink freaking gin with an olive in it, and stop saying waving it in the direction of France or running the bottle cap over the glass and calling THAT a martini. Vermouth is there for a reason. Too much will ruin, but you do need some to give it that edge of herbs and that crisp finish .

Now that I'm done professing my newfound love for martinis, I have a question.

What are some good, old-style classic cocktails you guys could recommend me...preferable the stronger kind I really need to go find me a really old cocktail recipe book at the used book store
