It's all down to taste preference. I'm just the opposite. I love the peat, but I also like the flavor of Scotches that aren't peat forward. Balvenie Doublewood, Glenfiddich 15, Tomatin 12 to name a few. I've found that the M&H from Israel and the Kavalan from Taiwan fall in that arena and are very enjoyable.
