Excellent thread here and this was exactly what I was looking for when I saw this forum as the information here is not only cerebral but so interesting as I am one of those who enjoy the taste of a cigar for the variety of flavors I get from them. Different beverages do give a different curve to the overall profile of the cigar as the other brother alluded to. Putting flame to tobacco is a bit more than just torching it and drawing. The experience gives back as much as you put into it and I try and squeeze as much out of the experience as I can. Imagine only putting in half of your imagination and energy into the things you really enjoy in life...what do you expect to get back? Cigars are not just tobacco and smoke to me for the last 40 years it literally has given me "time outs" from the hustle and bustle of life where I can find a peaceful time to sit back and let life stop while I enjoy something that gives me peace of mind and helps me focus on relaxing instead of having my thoughts racing. Concentrating on the flavors is an added dimension to escape to.
I am greatful to find a place that can talk about these things instead of the "cello on or off" or " my RH is too high" condundrums of the day.
