Padron 2000 and 3000s were about as good as you could get during the late 90s cigar boom. Funny how times change. Back then I was excited to be able to pick up a 5 pack of each when shopping locally.

Persistence paid off on the 1964s. Especially if you wanted the maduro wrappers. I remember buying my first box of maduro Pyrimides and marveling at their trumpet shape and simply how great they were. Eventually tried some different sizes, but never did find sufficient quantity to satisfy my potential demand. As decades passed, I moved on to other stuff. I did try to at least buy one of their 1964 Holiday samplers each year with the A size. I may still have one or two of those kicking around the walk in. Now I'm curious.
