Welcome to the Herf's Up forum. This room is dedicated to the announcement of upcoming herfs and other gatherings and their respective discussions. Please be sure to adhere to the following guidelines for this room:

Only threads concerning herfs and gatherings are allowed. Other threads will be moved to appropriate rooms.
All new topics MUST contain both the date and the location (city) of the herf in the subject. Other information in the subject is optional. Suggested format for the title is city and state in CAPITAL LETTERS, followed by the date, a colon then the event description (e.g. RENO, NV Jan 5: CW Anniversary Herf). This will make it much easier to scan the list for events. The subject is limited to 80 characters, so be creative if necessary
No threads will be set to sticky. No herf is more important than any other herf.
Please refrain from topping threads that are dropping off the front page. If folks aren't posting to a thread, the interest is low and it should drop off. Anyway, people should be looking at the calendar to be informed about what is up and coming.
Announcements of upcoming herfs must also be entered in the events calendar. Please use the events calendar's Attendee feature to track who will or will not be attending.
All other CW rules and guidelines still apply.

Yep very nice, plus all those herf threads wont get lost, so people can easily find them and not have to keep bumping them

Great move guys. The Smoking posting 1st page was almost half full of herf stickies.

This is an excellent move

, gives us a specific place to check out whats coming up

This will allow you to quickly scan to see if a herf is coming up in your area

I know for myself it is hard to weed through all of the posts to find a herf and I am disappointed if I miss one. Great idea!!!

I would suggest recommending to EVERYONE to post in the subject line city in CAPITALS and date (if known), ie:

CHICAGO May 5: Event description......

[this will make it MUCH easier to scan down the threads!]
