Xikar Meridian Feedback Sought
I'm considering adding a Xikar Meridian lighter to my tool kit. I've always liked a dual burner soft flame over lighting up with a torch unless I'm outside on a windy day. I have to believe a 3 burner would provide a 50% larger flame than my dual burners. Curious if anyone has one of these lighters and any feedback you may have on them. Thanks!

I have not used one. Looks like a very cool cigar lighter. Check out this YouTube vid from Halfwheel. I like their reviews.

Thank you. I watched that yesterday. It reeled me in enough to come over and ask here too.

Just my opinion and experience. I've owned hundred dollar lighters and five dollar lighters. Seems like the more they cost the less reliable they are. I'll stick with the five dollar lighters. And I do occasionally use the thin cedar and cut it up into strips, light it with my Bic and light the cigar from the burning cedar. Try it sometime. Not only is it effective, but it looks cool.

Nice lighter, but at that price I'll stick with my Vertigo torches and spend the money on cigars.

Probably my favorite way to light up was with the perpetual gas flame Punch statue at the register of a UK shop I would patronize. It took me back to the old days when customers would stop in at lunch for a cigar and light it up for the walk back to the office. Last edited by Ljutic; 11-21-2023 at 12:53 PM. |

I have been looking at this one too. The only reason I has been considering it is that it would be less finicky than a torch. Plus at least I could send it in if I had an issue.
I have a couple of friends who have ST DuPont lighters, and that I can't wrap my head around... (Of course this is coming from a guy who has an ST DuPont fountain pen...)
