Your favorite budget cigar < $5

There hasn't been a thread on this since 2015 , so I will bring it up again....

Your fav?

RobG turned me onto Oliva MB3's from Holts...

20 sticks, various size bundle $84 after shipping...

https://www.holts.com/samplers/all-c...ster-deal.html

For me it's the best deal out there....

This is going to be an awesome thread. I asked about budget cigars.
I got some Romeo and Juliet bix of 20 lanceros with free box of 10.
I think it was 150. Famous smoke shop.

I smoke a square metric shit ton of tobacco. Cigars are everything to me, because I no longer drink and I no longer stuff myself with food. I smoke 3-5 cigars a day, so I have gone through some bundles. I can't tell you details of notes of caramel, nutmeg and sweaty socks, but I can tell you what I like and don't like here lately.

All these are from CI:

Ichiban Natural and Maduro _ GREAT mild cigar, burns well, tastes good.

CI Alts - My Uncle insists on buying these, and all in Churchill. Not my fav size, but comes in handy riding the zero turn around. All of them are serviceable yard cigars, none too offensive, but OTOH you're not gonna be mistaking these for Opus X either.

Brickhouse Fumas _ pretty decent but mixed filler, generally not a fan of mixed filler cigars but they at least taste decent. Not much like a Brickhouse to me, but I digress.

Perdomo Mistakes - I always get the pyramid of these and they are always a medium full bodied nice Nicaraguan type smoke. They have been creeping up in price in the past two years or so, but they still are a decent deal.

Flor de Olivia Maduro - These have REALLY gone off a cliff, quality wise, in the past year. Price has almost doubled and I have rarely had one burn straight and taste 'right' all the way through. I' m not a fan of the natural, go figure, YMMV

Factory Smokes. About $35 a bundle. Natural and Maduro. Great cigar for the price,

So, stogie5150 or his uncle pass some of their CI smokes to me.
I will second the Perdomo Mistakes, those are really good.
I am guessing that the CI Alts are what many of my unbanded Churchills are.

Don Rafael White label. I have come to like these a great deal.

Quorum maduro or natural. Holt's has bundles between $28.85-$47.95
CI has the Sungrown Petite O, a petit corona, for $49.95 OR a bundle of 50 for $89.95. All the rest are under $49,95, worth a flyer, in my estimation.

Chillin' Moose +/- $35.00 per box, actually good cigars.

Easy Eddie's Stogies from JR, I think you can only buy them in quantities of 50, so they are in the $60-$70 range.

Cusano Nicaragua, Cusano Connecticut, I think Holt's has them on sale, now around $2.50 per for a box of 16. CI has them, but not on sale. Just keep your eye out, when they go on sale, like now at Holt's you can get a box for $39.95. Yes that's a smaller box, but this is a Davidoff product and well worth the patience to keep checking for sales. You can get the robusto for $31.95, that's $2.00 per.

Bahia Maduro, Bahia Trinidad, I doubt these are still Tony Borhani's old Bahia, but they are really decent cigars. Bundles of 20, CI has them, Holt's has them.

El Credito bundles still exist, Holt's has them, under $2.00 per cigar.

Gran Habano Vintage 2002, 2006. Again, CI and Holt's have them. These are good cigars, made by George Rico.

Old Henry from Holt's made by Don Pepin!

PDR Overruns from CI

Toraño Dominico

Villazon Natural or Villazon Maduro from CI, I think I've had one and liked it, KatDad smokes them regularly

I see the Hoyo de Monterrey la Amistad, the A.J. Fernandez collaboration, routinely around $89 at many of the online retailers. That can not be beat, fantastic cigar, good price, and most retailers discount them regularly, again watch the sales for them.

Man all great tips. I have such a hard time filing my humi due to prices. This makes it easier.

In addition to the Oliva MB3's that are constantly on sale at Holt's, I like the Flor de Oliva Maduro Churchill (about $50 a bundle) and The Flor de Oliva Gold Churchill (also about $50. The FdO Gold cigars are a great morning cigar.

The Punch Roth Maduro or Oscuro cigars are amongst my favorites, but they are a little bit pricier given their small size.
