I stopped looking at eBay because there were so many nice tobacciana pieces available.

You want a bunch of 50cent haircuts? Maxwells currently has about 60 boxes - fifty cents each. $ goes to Cigars for Warriors.

you're right, somebody else bid $10 less. i seriously cant see any intrinsic value. there was another, similar ra box sold for a bit less by a different seller. again cut throat bidders?

I really hate it when I don't understand something.

This is simply supply and demand. One could argue there's also a touch of stupidity. But it all boils down to supply and demand. Always has.

Provenance is key. Friend of mine paid $500 for an empty cigar box once owned by W.C. Fields.

I have always just thrown the boxes away! Now, I have used a few for storing things, such as tools, pencils/pens, etc. Have always assumed that once empty a cigar box is completely worthless.
