Aging pipe tobacco

Not by choice, but just that I haven't fired up a pipe in almost two years. I bought a bunch of half pint canning jars several years ago and put my pipe tobaccos in them to keep them fresh. I opened up a China Black tonight and it's still freakin' moist and very good tasting.

Pipe tobacco will keep almost indefinitely in a canning jar. Sealed aged tins garner top dollar on eBay.

Definitely good to know. That's how I currently store my bulk tobacco.

Yes sir, good to know. I'm just getting back to my pipes and have a few sealed tins with quite a bit of age on them.
