I just got in some of MrJerry's coffees, and he makes some pretty awesome coffees! I gave him a call, and he told me to be careful with the Caribbean Cut-throat - it's strong, and he wouldn't want to be responsible for any strain it puts on my heart. He even suggested that I use a more dilute coffee to water ratio when making it.

Oh, the challenge - how strong can I make this, and still survive?

My normal mix for my drip machine is 7 scoops for a full pot. I used 8 this morning for the Cut-throat, and am smiling and buzzing along happily. Tomorrow, we try an extra strong mix in the French Press!! Ahhhh, the joy of powerful coffee!

no matter how strong a coffee blend is the ratio is 6 oz of water to 2 tablespoons of coffee. then if you find it too strong to the palate then add water after you brew it, otherwise you loose a lot of flavor. there is a difference between stong taste and stong(high caffiene content).
the indonesian coffee's tend to have the nost caffiene(Sumatra has one of the highest). ethiopian and carribean coffees tend to have the lowest.
