Cuaba Divinos
The smallest of the Cuabas. 4 X 43. A great 1/2 hour smoke. The cigar felt very light, but was a little tight on the pre-light draw (every Cuaba I've had has this issue). A little rolling fixed it enough to get started. The first 1/3 was kind of dusty. It reminded me of a wine cellar. Not musty though. With a little more rolling, the tight draw disappeared. The last 2/3 exploded with meaty, Upmann-like flavors. It wasn't overly complex, but had some great flavors. As it burned towards the thinner end, the flavors and strength tapered slightly, but never got lost. The ash was a medium grey and flaky. If I wasn't driving, I would have smoked it down to the nub.

Do you happen to have any idea how old it was?
This is a cigar that doesn't get a lot of attention, and I'm a sucker for underdogs, so I always like hearing reviews and opinions of these cigars. I've been curious to try the Divinos, as I've really liked the Exclusivos (though, in my experience, they're a little harsh on the throat when young, but really shine after a few years rest) and I absolutely love the Salomon. A like a well-made perfecto and these look like a perfect size for a quick smoking in the morning with coffee. Thanks for your review! |

great!
Hell of a smoke this one.
I have smoked some from 11.04 that were totally amazing. Only have a few left, and they have plume on them, so I'm pretty stoked. Great review!
