Tatuaje Cabinet Reserva SW (Churchill)

A very flavorful cigar! The churchill-sized stick is draped in a rich dark brown wrapper with minimal veins and mild toothing. Construction was a bit off, with soft spots both at the foot and near the head. Easy light. Smooth draw. Hot burn in the first third and towards the end, likely from the loose construction. Tons of creamy white smoke. Black-gray ash (almost jet black in the areas of hot burn, as above). Started with pepper, wood, and earth. The first third brought flavors of earth, char, and mild black pepper. However, once the hot burn/loose roll areas were passed, the flavor profile changed and brought a slightly floral taste with toasted tobacco and cedar. The middle third had fleeting nuances of barnyard hay and menthol on a backdrop of earth, charred wood, and flora. The last third saw an intensification of the earth, menthol, and herbal flavors. All in all, this one hour 30 minute smoke was complex, full-bodied, and surprisingly good - that is, when it was not overburning. Its flavors were definitely affected by the construction issues I had in this particular stick. Additional sampling will be required.

No, come to think of it, I believe it was fitzonelove.

never had a Tatuaje that disappointed me. Sorry to hear about your bad experience. These really are great smokes. Much better luck next time.

I've heard great things about these cigars over and over; but, have no idea where to buy them. My B&M doesn't have them.... JRs doesn't have 'em, C.I. doesn't have them... they have them listed on their site at over $10/stick for a 3 pack when they are in stock Famous Smoke doesn't have 'em..... well you get the idea.

What's the story with these cigars

Try O.K. cigars in NYC (www.ok-cigars.com). I just picked up a Reserva Robusto today. I can't wait to put a torch to it! Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy yours too much.
