I still have "Violin Phase" by Steve Reich run through my head from time to time. Heard it for the first time around 1970.

"The Well Tempered Synthesizer" and "Switched On Bach" also come to mind. By Walter Carlos, who later had a sex-change operation and became "Wendy" Carlos. Big, eminently listenable albums in a time when much electronic music was composed by physicists like Arthur Roberts, and favored by nerds.

Finally.

I have a huge collection of ambient, electronic, synthetic and environmental stuff.

Anyone remember Tonto's expanding Head Band - "Zero Time"?

Patrick O'hearn just released a new one although I don't know what his music would be called anymore.

If anyone is interested at all I please PM me. I'll put down a more extensive list of some of what I consider the most enticing ear opium I've managed to discover over the last 30 years - I'd love to get suggestions, as it is so hard to find this stuff.

if you haven't already done so already, check out Deep Dish's "George is On" album, good stuff for fans of all types of genres of electronic music.
