Champagne Cocktails anyone?

So did a little back-searching, and found but a few threads on champagne/sparkling-wine.

Personally, with sparkling-wine a/k/a "Cook's Champagne" at around $6, and decent bottles from $20-35, believe that this is something that can be consumed more than just at weddings, Formula 1 races, and NYE.

Am curious, what are some good recipies for cockails using chapagne that you drink/have heard of?

I'll start:
French 75
50ml Gin
25ml Fresh Lime Juice
12.5ml Sugar Syrup
Champagne

Shake with ice the Gin, Lemon juice & Sugar syrup and strain into a Champagne flute and top with Champagne
Garnish with a lemon twist

A Black Velvet

6 oz. dry Champagne
6 oz. Stout

Pour carefully so as not to lose the carbonation.

Looks great in a tall pilsner glass

Just had a shiver reading this. Got pretty messed up drinking these and Black Scorpion's at Brit's Pub in Minneapolis. Worst hangover ever

SmoKerch: Raising sarcasm to an art form.

Try pouring about an ounce of Grand Marnier or Chambord in the bottom of a champagne flute, then filling the flute with a brut champagne.

My source for French 75 says this is the formula.
1 1/2 oz Congac
1/2 tsp Lemon Juice
1/2 tsp Powdered Sugar
Champagne

Combine all but champagne, shake and pour in champagne glass, fill glass with champagne, garnish with a lemon twist.

Note says "If you request this drink, you might receive a mix of gin and champagne. In the French trenches of WWI, however, gin was scarce, but cognac and champagne were not. American soldiers soon discovered that a combination of the two produced an effect similar to getting zapped by an artillery piece known as a French 75."

I'm not sure mixing these two wouldn't be lethal!!!
