Looping through Texas
Brenda and I will be taking a week or so and making a big circle in Texas and part of Louisiana.

So far, tentative Dallas days are May 27 & 28 (might make a quick stop at Underground in FtW around lunchtime on the 27th).

From Dallas we will go to either Monroe, LA to visit Karl Malone's cigar shop (probably the 30th), or we will go to Houston on the 30, then on through Lafayette to NOLA.

Then back to Houston (2nd or 3rd) then home in time for Brenda to start teaching her new (extra) summer class at the community college.

Only taking phones, so if you want to meet somewhere on this trip, msg me on FB; however, I will still be on here every day if you want to post something and not get any FB funk on your shoes.

Dates subject to minor adjustment, except for the beginning (end-of-school-year) and end (beginning of summer school).

This will be our "big summer trip" this year since we aren't going to Vegas in July for PCA (schedule conflicts). There is one shop in Plano that is tentatively on the roster (Cigar Lounge in McKinney), plus the one in Monroe (if we pick that route, which I'm sort of inclined to since so many people are telling me how unsafe NOLA is).

Another option has emerged; we are also considering going from Monroe to Lafayette, skipping Nola, then proceeding to Houston. We'll be spending at least one night in Houston either way.

I could offer you a bed and breakfast here in NW Atlanta, but it appears that you're on Karen's old stomping grounds near Monroe. I'm not ready to go back there yet.

If you and Brenda ever wander close to Marietta, you have a place to stay. I look forward to your company.

Thank you for the offer Jason.

I was hoping to lure out some old friends in the Dallas are, FtW, Monroe, Lafayette, etc. I already know the shops.

At this point, just getting out of the house together for a week+ is really needed. Bonus, not going to PCA, which I confess I will miss, but we need to re-examine which show will be best with a lot of people going back to PCA and either out-right leaving or cutting 'way back on TPE.

I'll check this with Brenda. We might go from Dallas to Salado on the way to Houston as well, so that would give us the possibility of two times from which to choose.

C.I. opening new store in Katy on May 20.

I'd invite you to stay with us, but back surgery is scheduled end of May & I'll be crapped out.
