2 has the best blades, 3 looks the best and costs most, 1 is the original.

I had a X2 but didn't like the feel of the plastic handles. I have an X1 and like the heftier/heavier feel.

They are essentially the same and is primarily your own personal taste re: aesthetics
Any of them are great cutters!...I've owned all three and loved them all...Now, I currently have two Xi2s

I agree with Rookie. The blades are fantastic on all 3. I have a Xi3 Rosewood that works like a charm everytime.

I have the Xi1 and absolutely love it. If you have the good fortune of shopping for this in person make sure to look at the blades though. Some are made in Germany (the better ones) and some are not. I looked at 2 Xi1 cutters side by side, both the same color, and the one I purchased had this printed on it:
SOLINGEN GERMANY US Pat. 5937523 US Pat. Des 410109 The other did not. I am not sure where the other blades are made, but the ones made in Germany are supposed to be superior.

I believe (but not certain) that the newer Xikars has "Made in China (or Taiwan)" on the blades....I'd have to take a look to be sure...I have definitely noticed a substantial difference in quality between them
