Can Somebody Tell Me About Mezcal?
Hey guys, I have a friend whos birthday is coming up. He has been wanting to try Mezcal for a while, so I thought I would go and buy him a nice bottle of it. Since I have never had Mezcal before, could somebody recommend me a good Mezcal to give to him for his birthday? Preferably nothing about $60, but it's not certain.
Thanks guys, Eddie |

Sotol is not mezcal. It comes from distilling the sotol cactus. There's one made in Driftwood, TX, Home of the Salt Lick, a legendary BBQ joint.

Fifteen years, two months and sixteen days, we may have a new record for thread necromancy.

Forget about that. I think he's trapped back there. How do we get Jeff back to present day?

Never tried any. How would you compare it to a good Tequila?

Mezcal is garbage. Tastes like dirt.
The difference between mezcal and tequila, in a nutshell is tequila, by Mexican law, must be made from the blue agave plant. Mezcal is made from other species of the agave plant. Here's a LINK about it.
