I picked this up from my local antique shop for $20. The only marking is “France” on the shank.

The stummell’s condition was pretty decent with very little cake in the chamber. I still decided to pack it with salt and alcohol and it pulled some tar and oil out of it. I cleaned the outer bowl with Murphy’s Oil Soap and a toothbrush per Reborn Pipes and then did a second pass with the toothbrush and water to eliminate any potential for Murphy’s build up.

The stem was oxidized but had no chatter on it at all. I soaked it in oxy clean and it worked wonders. Some sanding with 2,500 to 12,000 grit polishing pads shined it up nicely. Going to give it a few days to completely air out and will try it over the weekend.
