Need a Recipe
I have some huge pickling cukes that I want to dill up. I need a recipe that does not require heat. I don't have the stuff for canning or pressure cooking them.
IIRC, my dad used to do pickles in an old crock in the basement. Ayone have a recipe like that? Thanks.

Have that one.
Looking for one that doesn't require sterile jars that I can make in an old clay crock.

I will initiate a cookbook search later today.
I may have said it before, but cookbooks published by local Junior League clubs are a treasure trove of old family recipes. Can usually get them for a buck at Goodwill. Charleston's the holy grail. A useful book is judged by it's index.
