Lets hear YOUR music...

I know there are some musicians here, I want to hear your music.

Anyone brave enough to share with us what you've done?

Crimson Tide

That's us

We're actually quite a bit better than when we did that album and we have some really good new songs started. The two we think are the best on the first album are "Are You Ready" and "Rainin' Down". It was all recorded in a home studio too for almost nothing so the mixes aren't the greatest and our vocals needed some work. Still, we're proud of it for a first album.

Hey Jim,

I was playing it the other day. I like it a lot. I put Gratuitous Riffage on a mix CD with Mr. Malmsteen, the Alien Surfer Dude, etc. Then several of the "Youngsters" at work picked that track out to ask me "Hey, Who does that Tune? It Rocks!"

I thought that You would like hearing that.

Cheers!

Hahaha... that's awesome guys! Yes, we are proud of our music but we also know there are several things we'd do different today if we re-recorded those.

There always seems like there's something left to do, but at some point You gotta say "Done!" Then let it out into the World, to be heard.
Otherwise nothing would ever get finished.

There are worse things than an "under produced" CD, Liiiiike a sanitized and sterile "over produced" one. There is something to be said for a Raw and Fresh sound to a record. For me anyway, I like it to feel Live and spontaneous, verses canned and contrived. That's of course easy for me to say, because that's the only CD of yours, I have to compare to.

It reminds me of this story. I got to hear a local area band perform live and They were Great. I mean they were Tight and on top of every aspect of the music. Later I heard their CD and quite honestly, They were Far More dynamic live. Add the fact that They had been performing 4 times a week for nearly a year. That made them seasoned veteran musicians. So, I do hear what You are saying.

All the same, I think You Guy's did a fine job.

Cheers!
