Wives and Cigars...Nature's Deadly Mix...
How does your significant other feel about your passion?
Personally, my wife hates them with a passion. She bitches when I smell like smoke, she curses when I leave behind ashes, and she preaches when I smoke around the kids. I lit up a Punch Champion on my porch last night, and she gave me shit abouth the smell wafting through the house. (That gar kicks ass by the way.) I said, what do you want me to do, go smoke in the street. She thought up state New York was a better idea. I love the woman dearly, but she has raked my sack over the coals (what I have left of them, that is) for over ten years. Funny though, she sure loves cashing those fucking checks I receive when I write articles for Cigar Magazine. When I received my latest payment, my wife immediately started talking about new patio furniture and these shoes she's wanted. I told her I was using it for a world wide herf, starting in Jersey and ending up in Havavna. It seems my wit and sense of humor is only appreciated by you guys on CW. Excuse me while I ask go ask for my ball-bag back. - Tommy Z.

I'm lucky. My wife's grandfather smoked cigars, so she has pleasant associations with cigars and the related aromas. She even joins me in cigar smoking (Java Wafes for her) from time to time.
Thanks for the post --- it makes me appreciate my wife even more.

I don't know why my wife doesn't complain - and actually comes up with the idea of me smoking in the house - but maybe she is setting me up in a trap.

The only way I could ever smoke in the house is if my head got wedged in the fireplace.

I'm about as whipped as a man can get, but at least my wife doesn't bug me about my cigars. At least the smoking part of them. The buying of them is where she bitches. I can't blame her there.
Of course, I smoke my cigars either on the back porch or garage or leaning up against my car out on the driveway. I make sure the closest door or window is closed when I smoke so that the smoke doesn't waft inside. I rarely smoke around my kids, usually only when I'm BBQ-ing. The wife does mention that I smell like smoke when I come to bed, so I just don't kiss her before I mount here Seriously though, she knows it's my one hobby and that it really gives me a lot of pleasure.
