Where are the Great Cigar Cities?

I'm very familiar with Tampa, Ybor City and Miami. I love Ybor City! These places are very cigar friendly. Any others?

New Orleans used to be. Not like it was anymore.

Orlando is not too bad. NH is not too strict on smoking cigars, but there are always the exception.

I've been to two Corona Lounges in Orlando they were both very nice. Once was in a Mall area the other on a corner downtown.

I stopped in the Cigar Factory in the French Quarter on Decatur Street and tried one of their maduros.

likely perique tobacco. I smoked a couple of them standing in line to get into Preservation Hall for an evening of dixieland jazz.

There was a northeastern city--Philly I think--that became a major player in the cigar business.

In NOLA, Simon Hernscheim was the tobacco king at the end of the 19th Century. He built 3 mansions on St. Charles Avenue. 2 of them are still standing. One is The Columns Hotel, a really neat bnb I've stayed in a couple of times. If you want to see it, it was the setting for the brothel for the movie Pretty Baby. Clint Eastwood featured in in one of his films too. Famous for the 12 foot handcarved bar and the best Brandy Alexander in the city.

Key West is about the friendliest Cigar Town anywhere.
There's also an unbelievable number of open air bars.
And the most incredible sunset you'll ever see.

Lots of great lounges in the Detroit area. One great lounge in the city of Detroit(La Casa Detroit), and many terrific places in the 'burbs.

I'll put suburban atlanta. 4 or 5 places within half hour drive from my house.
In the city, "tobacco free" they want to be... Just a half dozen shops, and 2 maybe 3 grandfathered cigar bars.
