I'll Drink to That! What is your favorite beverage to have with a cigar? Juice? Cola? Beer? Port? Single Malt Scotch? This room is for the discussion of beverages, especially alcoholic beverages that go well with cigars! |

This is in my opinion an amazing creation. It is not for the occasional beer fan, nor is it for any beer fan that does not enjoy a heavy complex beer. It is a dark reddish brown color. You can smell the bourbon essense along with a slightly burnt odor. The flavor is intense and beyond description. It does have a bit of bourbon flavor to it from being aged in bourbon casks but I think it is mainly aroma. It is served in a 6 oz glass and is definately made to sip and enjoy. I smoked a CAO Extreme belicoso (thanks TOJE!) and the two matched well.

Is it only avaible locally or is it distributed nation-wide (with the other Widmer beers)?

I haven't been able to find any at the stores and there is no info on their website. I will keep on looking, and if I do find any I will buy all that I can afford!

Is it carbonated? Or is it like Sam Adams triple Bock in the corked blue bottles.

Wow! Mike give these guys a break, they don't get the good stuff like we do. Not to mention your homebrews!
BTW, I found a bottle of your Oatmeal Stout in the back of the fridge, probably won't live to see tomorrow! I'd rather be driving; either golf balls or my Dodge! |

Sounds tastey. I guess I'll have to stick with homebrew and Bell's.

Had the Burbon Bock Monday night with Dave and Mike. I thought it was good but then I had HuskerMikes Oatmeal Stout last night with a WOA from Dans pass. OHHHH BABY. Widmer should hire Mike to brew its Beer, this stuff was Much better than the Burbon Bock and indeed it is one of the better beers I have ever had. THANK YOU MIKE.
