Love songs..need suggestions
So, I was just recently asked to DJ a friend's wedding reception. Of course, what I've been told to prepare is a couple playlists worth of love songs from the pop - rock - hard rock genres (with maybe a little folk or soft stuff thrown in)
Frankly I'm drawing blanks so far I listen to zero pop, and mostly metal and scots-irish-celtic roots acts. Suggestions mighty welcome, thanks guys |

Get an Al Green Greatest Hits--you'll be OK. AND/OR Marvin Gaye. Forget all the hassle, wondering, and worry. And--no need to make a mixed tape.
Can't go wrong. 9 Inch Nails' "Closer" is good, but will offend the older folks and take the romance right out of the day, but will definitely heat up the honeymoon. Modern English's "Melt with You" is good if they are over 35.

Heh, I've been expressly forbidden to even bring a CD containing Closer to the reception

As a wedding videographer who's been to WAY too many receptions, please, PLEASE, PLEASE promise me that you won't play the Chicken Dance. The madness must stop somewhere. Do your part!

Over my rapidly cooling corpse, Anodyne.
OTOH, if I'm DJing that means I am exempt from dancing |

I don't think its that well known of a song but I like The Way Young Lovers Do by Van Morrison.
