Seasoning tip
I have found that if I put a few scrap chunks of oasis in a bowl of water in the humidor to season it the bowl is empty after a few days. There should only be a bit of water in the bottom of the bowl so as to leave plenty of the oasis exposed. Without oasis the bowl takes much longer to empty.

Good tip!
I believe the scientific explanation is the the foam increases the surface area of the water that is exposed to the air, increasing the rate of evaporation, hence increasing the speed at which the wood can absorb humidity from the air & reach equilibrium.

Nice tip Zed!
A way to possibly speed up the "seasoning" process.
