I am interested in opinions from those that have tried this line already...Supposedly they are supposed to be pretty strong with "as much ligero leaf as humanely possible", according to C-Bid's ads...Anyone?..They sound incredible!...Just don't outbid me please...I want to try one bundle at least..LOL

Got a five pack of them coming from Cigar
bid. I hope they make it this week.
Anyhoo I'll let you know what I think as soon as I get them.

Proud to be a "BOTL".

There are several things in life like this -- Everclear (for alcohol), the small Philipine hot peppers that have no taste - only BURN YOUR MOUTH HOT, nude pics of Daniela Pestova :yum: , farts from my son, and ... hmmm

The World is full of Apathy and I don't care!!!

Anyone try these yet? I always see em on CB but have been hesitant to bite.

04-02-2002, 03:13 PM
hey rookie good to see you over here, i tried one, but didnt like it, but i hear that with a little aging they are decent.

I like most of his stuff (like the Box Pressed Super Fuertes and the Camaroons), but I just can't bring myself to purchase a cigar called "Diesel"...

04-02-2002, 05:07 PM
I smoked one right after I got the five pack from CB.
I can't say much about it other than it was bland and flat. I'm giving them some rest and we'll se what happens in a couple more months.

I keep seeing those at CB but I just can't bring myself to click on the button. I'll wait and see what the more daring have to say.

I don't see these in my future. 8) 8)

SSJ...I'm good at what I do. What is it that I do again?!!!

Haven't seen these yet. I stay away from cigar bid. Too much temptation.

i stay away from them too. i don't like the bargain basement crap that you find there.

04-02-2002, 08:54 PM
I should have some of these in from cigarbid by next week. But I may heed sevenmag's advice and let them settle down for a while before smoking them.
I hate cigarbid... I love cigarbid... I hate cigarbid...

WOW! That's a big one...

wilegile - I don't buy from CB very often, and I've never bought the bargain basement stuff, but they will often have some really good deals on top-end premiums (Hemmingways, La Aurora Platinums, CAO's and Perdomos).
I check it almost daily, but make a purchase only about once every two months (when I can get a good price).

How did Ross manage to squeeze fart information into this thread? xx(

Rookie, got my box today   thanks man,
i will age that crude for a few months to see how i like it, anytime you want to trade look me up, i posted in your trader comments, did you get my box yet??

04-04-2002, 12:05 PM
your not gonna smoke one straight off the truck? You got a lot more will power than me!

04-04-2002, 02:40 PM
Are these the same Diesel's that Thompson's has been pushing the last few catalogs?

04-12-2004, 07:40 PM

I spent a fortune buying the "bargains" before a BOTL hooked me up here. By that time my tastes had migrated to Cupido, Perdomo, CAO, and Purios Indios.

Know what you like, and watch the "bids closing today". If it is in your price range, swing for the fence.

Diesel Cigars = cigars that taste like used motor oil.

04-13-2004, 04:08 AM
I got some when they first come out, and did not like them at all. They were not as strong as they claimed they were and had very little taste.

04-13-2004, 04:17 AM
I have had a couple of bundles of Diesels. Torps and Churchills. Some have been very good, some have been shit. None have been what I would consider strong. For the money, give them a try, you might like them :)

04-13-2004, 04:21 AM
If you don't like 'em you can always use 'em to wipe off your dipstick when you check your oil :sfreak:

The Lonsdales ARE dipsticks :o)

04-13-2004, 04:36 AM
I got a bundle from CI and love em  They taste great :yum: and have good strength. For $2 a stick you can't go wrong.

04-13-2004, 04:51 AM
Is Rocky still in the cigar business or are these close outs?

04-13-2004, 05:51 AM
How did this thread get found two years later? :dunno:

04-13-2004, 05:53 AM
And I don't think I could ever smoke a cigar called Diesel. xx(

That's why there arent cigar names like Mold, Rodent Hair, Eye Cheese....

04-13-2004, 06:03 AM
Keith was lost to the :vader: long ago. The Diesel Crude is exactly that! :puke:
