Hoyo Du Prince

From 2006 50 cab

Smoked outdoor patio, with unsweetened iced tea.

Wrapper - Light tan, some course veins, nice cap, a bit rough looking. 3/5

Construction - Dense and firm, yet had a perfect draw which allowed for generous amounts of rich smoke to fill the palate. Nice even burn, had a light gray ash with a firm cone. 5/5

Flavor - Aggressive from the beginning to end, strong and earthy, cedary, bit of a tangy finish. The strength was a bit overpowering so smoke it slow for max enjoyment. Not much complexity, just strong earthy tobacco. 7/10

Final Thoughts - This cigar will only appeal to cigar smokers who love them strong, and enjoys "in your face" earthy flavors. They should rename this cigar Le Hoyo Du Prince of Darkness.

Score - 15/20 Recommend if you like them strong
